Yairi hand made guitar was finished and shipped to Roy & Candy’s Music Mr. Yairi was commissioned by famed country and western music legend Hank Thompson to hand build him a guitar. The story behind this beautiful work of art and magnificent sounding guitar is as follows. I purchased the guitar new from Roy & Candy’s Music in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Yairi signed DY90 dated 53.6.16 or June 16th, 1978 the 53 year of Emperor Showa. Frets have plenty of life left, and the original Grovers stay in tune very well. This instrument is in incredible condition for any age and functions properly. With 46 years of natural seasoning, loving care and light use, this DY-85 is a lifetime heirloom guitar. The original k yairi guitars were masterfully crafted, and time has only improved the wood and tone of this lovely instrument. Solid spruce top, mahogany neck and rosewood back and sides this was Yairi’s top or the line, flagship model, with pearl inlay and binding everywhere. This original vintage Alvarez Kasuo Yairi DY85 acoustic dreadnought in lovely playing condition. Comes with original case in near perfect condition (maybe a few scuffs) but hey, not on the guitar. This one of a kind guitar that is literally like new, no dents, scratches, wear marks, cracks, nothing! I promise you there is not a nicer one out there.

Items only come with case or accessories if pictured or listed in the listing. Sounds great as acoustic, will sound even more amazing after some troubleshooting on the two interior microphones. Slight wear on lower frets but all notes working. The guitar is in good condition with some dings from time. The preamp does make noise when moving the sliders, however there is a problem with the interior microphone connections as they are not picking up sound.
